How do search engines determine relevancy?
For a document or page to be relevant to a search engine it needs to fulfill two main criteria. The first is that the web document must show itself to be relevant for the query and the Internet community must show it to be relevant for the query.
Basically in simple terms what this means is that the content provided on your website should be relevant to the search query entered by the user and if there are links pointing to your website this also indicates that you are relevant for the search query entered.
